Yes. The Better Place Charge Spots are waterproof and are safe to use in any weather conditions.

In the Holden Volt, a short flashing green light in the centre of the instrument panel means the car is fully charged.
In the Mitsubishi i-MiEV, the red charging light on the dashboard will no longer be illuminated when the car is fully charged.
In the Nissan Leaf, three solid bue lights on the dashboard indicates the car is fully charged.

A Better Place Charge Spot provides the fastest possible charge to the Holden Volt, Nissan Leaf and the Mitsubishi i-MiEV. Each car charges at a different rate though. If the battery is completely depleted, the Holden Volt can be charged in around 4 hours, whereas the Nissan Leaf and Mitsubishi i-MiEV will take 7 to 8 hours.

Call our Member Assistance line on 1800 800 246 and we'll organise a new card to be issued. We can also activate your Charge Spot remotely if required so you can still charge while waiting for your new card to arrive.

Yes. The car stops taking power from the Charge Spot when the battery is full, much like many other electronic appliances i.e. laptops.

Yes. Whenever you can plug in your car, it will extend your range. The longer you can plug in, the more range you will have.
